Lasallian Trust

The Lasallian Trust of Singapore (LTS) is the central policy-making and coordinating body that works with Lasallian institutions to provide strategic direction in advancing the Lasallian mission in Singapore. Formally inaugurated in August 2025, it serves as an umbrella organisation that unifies and guides all Lasallian institutions locally, ensuring the legacy of St. John Baptist de La Salle continues to "Touch Hearts, Teach Minds, and Transform Lives."

Mission and Core Values

The Trust is rooted in the Catholic faith and the 300-year-old tradition of the De La Salle Brothers. Its primary goal is to provide a holistic human and Christian education, with a special focus on the poor and marginalised.

• Core Values: Faith, Service, and Community.

• Philosophy: Education should develop the intellectual, moral, spiritual, and physical development of all students to enable them to make a positive difference in society, especially for the poor and the marginalised.

• "Together and by Association": A foundational principle emphasising collaboration between the Brothers and lay partners (teachers, alumni, and volunteers).

Network of Institutions

The Lasallian presence in Singapore (dating back to 1852 with the founding of St. Joseph’s Institution) now comprises a diverse network managed or supported by the Trust:

• Primary Schools:  St. Joseph’s Institution Junior, St. Anthony’s Primary School, De La Salle School, St. Stephen’s School.

• Secondary Schools: St. Joseph’s Institution (SJI), St. Patrick’s School.

• International/Private School: SJI International (Secondary and Pre-University Education), SJI International Elementary School and SJI International Preschool.

• Mission and Formation Centres: Hope House, La Salle Centre, La Salle House.

• Alumni Organisations: SJI Old Boys' Association, The Patrician Society, St. Anthony's Primary School Alumni Association, St. Michael's School Alumni Association, St Stephen's Old Boy Association, De La Salle Alumni Association, SJI International Alumni Association

Activities and Engagement

Lasallian Formation Programmes. Organising induction programmes for new staff, retreats and progressive formation pathways to help school leaders, staff, volunteers and students integrate Lasallian philosophy and values into their daily lives and work.

Vocational Discernment. Running programmes like “Becoming Brothers” evenings, live-in experiences, mentoring, and Vocation Leads in secondary schools to help young men discern a call to become De La Salle Brothers. 

Community Engagement. Organising events and activities such as Founder's Day celebrations, inter-school events, mission trips, social gatherings, etc., to unite Lasallian schools, alumni and families as One La Salle, one community sharing one mission.

This website serves as a portal for volunteering, donations, and accessing resources on the life of St. John Baptist de La Salle.
