Support the Lasallian Mission in Singapore
PHILOSOPHY AND OBJECTIVES
Our Approach
Inspired by St John Baptist de La Salle, the founder of Lasallian education, our programmes bring together education, service and fellowship. Participants learn about Lasallian values, put that learning into action by serving others, especially the poor and those most in need, and grow in friendship with one another. Together, this builds One La Salle: all our schools and communities in Singapore working as one, for one shared mission.
From the start, Lasallians have worked “together and by association”. Brothers, teachers, staff, parents, alumni and volunteers share responsibility for the mission. Our programmes are designed so that people support, learn from and grow with one another. This is a lifelong journey that transforms individuals and the communities they serve.
Lasallian Formation
Formation is how we help people understand and live out the Lasallian way. It develops the whole person, in heart, mind and spirit, guided by the Lasallian values of faith, fraternity and zeal for service. Our formation programmes help participants to:
find meaning and purpose in their work and life, inspired by our Catholic faith,
understand the life of St John Baptist de La Salle and the mission of Lasallian education,
gain the knowledge and skills to serve those in need, especially the last, the lost and the least, and
build caring communities that “touch hearts” through kindness, respect and personal relationships
Designed for Every Lasallian
Programmes are tailored to the roles of school leaders, teachers, staff, students, parents and volunteers. People of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome, and each person’s personal and cultural context is respected. Key experiences are offered at important points such as staff induction, leadership development and students’ transitions between school levels. Throughout, we believe in “walking with others on the journey”, growing together as one Lasallian community.
Call to Lasallian Mission
The Lasallian mission in Singapore depends on the support, commitment, and generosity of Lasallians and individuals who believe in and support the Lasallian mission. By getting involved, you can make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people in Singapore and contribute to the transformative power of Lasallian education. You can volunteer your time and talents, or you can make a donation to support our programmes and the young people we serve. Every contribution helps us continue the mission, together and by association.
